Job Summary:

The Authorization Specialist position is responsible for managing and processing insurance authorizations and referrals for patients seeking substance use treatment services in an outpatient clinic. This role involves working closely with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to secure approval for various treatments and ensure that the clinic's services are covered by insurance plans. The specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the clinic's revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements, and facilitating smooth access to care for patients. Key responsibilities will include insurance verification, authorization requests, status monitoring, and issue resolution. The Authorization Specialist will also support office management which involves managing office supplies, coordinating with staff and vendors, overseeing office procedures, and customer service.Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.

License:

Required:

Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Hours:

Full-Time.

Workdays:

Monday - Friday.

Workhours:

6:00AM - 3:00PM.

Salary:

$21.29 an hour.
