SUMMARY
Overview of the position
The Creative Department is looking for a Packaging Designer for our sports, entertainment and gaming trading cards and products. The Packaging Designer will be responsible for creating dynamic packaging that pushes boundaries on trends and innovation while maintaining the architecture of a legendary brand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature of the level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for creative design and layout of all packaging for Upper Deck products.Knowledge of branding and passionate about staying on trend with competitive market analysis.Able to interpret product specs and create and deliver files that adhere to specifications.Proficient at time management and meeting tight deadlines.Work cohesively with Product Development, Marketing and Brand departments to ensure smooth execution from concept to print.Develop a keen understanding of budgets and costs within the industry to ensure design innovations while maintaining P&L of the product.Remain flexible through revisions.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with focus on Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.Attention to detail to keep revision process efficient and minimal.Support design in other various projects as necessary/time allows.EDUCATION/YEARS EXPEREINCE
BA in Design or Graphic Design preferred but not required, or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
3 or more years' experience in the field of Graphic Design or in a related field.

Proven ability to provide professional design solutions and recommendations from concept through production.Designs responsively for placement, transitioning from physical collateral to digital implementationMotion graphics and animated designExperienced in Adobe Creative Suite products specifically strong Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator capabilities required.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with attention to detail.Excellent people skills and flexibility in dealing with changing schedules and multiple points of view.Ability to interface with internal department employees at all levels, team player.Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.Hands on, energetic and motivated; self-starter.Effective oral and written communication skills.Other details
