A small St. Louis-based, national trade association is seeking a part-time (twenty-four hours a week). Membership/Communications Director. The Membership/Communications Director will play a pivotal role in driving membership growth, engagement, and satisfaction. They will develop and execute strategies to attract, retain, and engage members, ensuring they are informed of the benefits and value of their membership, and additionally, will oversee the membership process, manage communication efforts and manage the membership database. In addition, the Membership/Communications Director will be responsible for communications for the members including a digital newsletter and email communications.

Essential Functions

Develop and implement campaigns to acquire and retain members, utilizing various channels and strategies.Ensure members and prospects are informed of the benefits and value of association membership through effective communication materials and platforms.Manage the membership process, including recruitment, onboarding, renewals, and reporting, ensuring a seamless experience for members.Oversee including maintaining committee rosters and facilitating communication between members and committees.Drive marketing and communication efforts that enhance the value of membership and promote the association's mission and initiatives.Collaborate with other key members and create opportunities to promote membership engagement, growth, and value.Content Creation and Management: Produce, edit, and manage high-quality content for various communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, website, social media, and marketing materials.Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with industry media, draft press releases, and handle media inquiries to ensure positive coverage of the Association and its initiatives.Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media strategy, and website content updates to increase engagement and membership growth.Brand Management: Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication platforms.Event Promotion: Collaborate with the events team to promote the Association's conferences, webinars, and other events through targeted communication efforts.Salary:

The position is hourly, non-exempt and begins at $25.00/hour.

Location:

St. Louis, Missouri

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required. A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.Minimum 3 years of progressively professional experience working in memberships management, marketing, operations, project management or closely related areas.Association and/or nonprofit organization experience preferred. Experience with Association Management Systems (AMS) and/or Customer Relationship Systems (CRM), with the ability to effectively utilize these platforms to manage membership data and communication. Working knowledge of Your Membership, Crowd Wisdom, and Open Water is preferred but not required.Proficiency in email marketing programs, with the ability to develop and execute targeted email campaigns to engage members and prospects.Ability to use Canva, Publisher, and Photoshop a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 365.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value of membership and engage with members and prospects.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.A passion for the mission and values of the Association, with a commitment to promoting excellence, integrity, and service.Ability to work three days a week.Willingness to travel as needed.PandoLogic.
