The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful placement of new clients and policies, and for initiation and oversight of the renewal process of existing client relationships by performing the following duties:

JOB DUTIES

:

Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, with a commitment to a workplace of dignity and respect, in compliance with equal employment opportunity standards and regulations.Accept direction and coaching from supervisors and managers, in compliance with the Agency's policies and procedures.New Business Duties

Analyze opportunities for new business, including with respect to insurance markets, coverage, and specifics of policy, and identify additional information needed.Market and implement new policies for new or existing clients.Analyze marketing submissions for accuracy and completeness. Obtain additional information as needed.Strategize, in conjunction with company underwriters, the negotiation of competitive pricing and coverage.Evaluate the terms and conditions of carrier quotes, and negotiate changes in limits, premiums, commissions, deductibles, endorsements, etc.Use discretion and independent judgment to prepare thorough proposals that include all appropriate disclaimers, marketing materials, and coverage options .Renewal Business Duties

Initiate and plan renewal process through the organization of monthly meetings of relevant staff.Identify accounts due for renewal.Lead discussion on requirements and conditions for renewals, and assist teammates with the responsibility to facilitate a successful process.Analyze strategy regarding renewal marketing.Oversee management of renewal accounts by providing leadership and assistance to designated CSMs.Monitor CSMs' performance with respect to Marketing Timeline. Assume responsibility as needed for accounts under leadership of CMM for which CSM is not following timeline.Other Duties

Manage relationships with over 100 underwriters and brokers with whom company has contracts.Analyze insurance company market, product and coverage questions.Keep abreast of carrier on-line rating systems and perform on-line rating as needed.Maintain all underwriting, marketing, applications, and other information for documentation purposes.Forward complete submission to carriers and follow up on quotes to make certain they are given appropriate priority and are returned on a timely basis.Maintain a working knowledge of the insurance marketplace, including specific coverage and industry targets.Maintain an up to date library to retrieve carrier product information, supplies, and contact directories.Track and report on agency and carrier marketing results.Non-client facing Account Executive duties for specifically designated accounts, including:

Renewal marketing strategy and process managementOther specific projects not assigned to the CSM..

Mentor/Role Model

Improve efficiencies/process improvement.Run and distribute appropriate reports to department.Maintain paper and electronic activity system and documentation to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and activity items.Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.Actively pursue referral opportunities to other departments.Maintain electronic and or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.Become familiar with and follow Agency guidelines, policies and procedures .Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise assigned employee(s). Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:

Training associates (procedural, agency management system, underwriting, technical);Planning, assigning, and directing work;Appraising performance; auditing workflows; and monitoring backlog;Addressing complaints; troubleshooting and resolving problems;Organizing and conducting regular and effective meetings.This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned, based on Agency needs.

Florida 220 Property and Casualty License required.An Insurance designation, equivalent to AAI or CIC is preferred.Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Word & ExcelPHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job operates in a professional office environment. The overall noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

:

Regular travel required. Must carry a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 Bodily Injury Liability and $50,000 Property Damage Limits on a personal auto policy.
