T-Minus Zero is seeking a Senior Environment Artist to join our team as a key contributor in the creation of our brand-new AAA game & IP. You will work closely with the Lead Environment Artist and other members of the Art and Design teams to build the assets and spaces for our game environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design, creation, and implementation of game environments, including architecture, props, terrain, lighting, and atmospheric effects.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other artists to ensure the game's visual and technical quality.
  • Understand and work within the project's art direction.
  • Implement efficient workflows and production pipelines while identifying potential improvements.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience as an Environment artist in the gaming industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D art pieces and a deep understanding of environmental design.
  • Proven experience with 3D modeling and texturing tools like ZBrush, 3ds Max, Maya, and Substance Painter.
  • A deep understanding of the technical constraints related to real-time rendering.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5, including lighting, texturing, streaming, and optimization.
  • Experience with procedurally generated workflows such as Houdini or Unreal PCG.
  • Experience with PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) workflows.


Compensation Range: The expected annual base pay ranges reflected in this job description are applicable to individuals residing in or working within a designated location. Any final compensation offer will depend on various factors. As part of an overall package, NetEase employees can take advantage of NetEase's comprehensive benefits and discretionary incentive plans, provided that they comply with the policies and guidelines governing those programs. This role has a base salary range of $75,000 - $163,000 USD if the hire will be based in the US.
