At Live Nation Entertainment, our people embrace these qualities, so if this sounds like you then please read on!THE JOBWe are seeking a General Manager to oversee business operations ensuring that the venue and all related matters operate within the scope of Live Nation standards, policies and procedures.WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DOEstablish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, customers and vendorsIdentify and maximize revenue drivers while optimizing the overall guest and artist experienceCollaborate with Marketing, Premium Seat Sales, Food and Beverage team, Ancillary Revenue team, and Sponsorship to create innovative offerings that drive incremental revenue growth, fan and partner engagement, and profitabilityManage overall expenses of concerts to maximize profits while protecting the guest and artist experienceOversee food and beverage and merchandise performance and strategies (point of sale ratio, variety, etc.)Ensure Live Nation policies and procedures, and SOPs are adhered to, including, but not limited to Global Security SOPs to ensure the safety of artists, fans, and staff while at the venueHires, trains and schedules full and part-time employees, and work closely with all subcontractors and/or third-party vendors.Promote and establish "rental" events in the venue.Works closely with Live Nation promoters and operations and provides direction on standards and complianceCoordinates and facilitates event set-up with operationsPerforms and executes successful settlement of eventsPerforms and executes timely Flash Reports after eventsForecasts in ROME, operational and production expenses, as well as ancillary revenue streams.Coordinates day of event activities and mattersExcellent working knowledge of Health & SafetyImplements and complies with the companies' audit proceduresEnsures that employees performance is monitored and reviewed accordinglyManagement of employee attendance records, for all employeesAny other reasonable duties as required by the executive managementWork closely with key civic governmental departments, venue landlord, as well as interaction with the community in generalOther duties as assignedThis position typically supervises a number of exempt and non-exempt positionsDay to day management of all venue vendors/subcontractors – HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Cleaning, Security, Trash/RecyclingResponsible for meeting staffing levels and budget targets for each eventGenerate Operations costs flash report following each eventWork with all other departments to help fulfill needed requirementsAdvance each show with tour security directors and fulfill tour security requirementsOn site for each event prior to load in and until load outWHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRINGMinimum 5 years experience as a general manager or operations manager in a hospitality related businessMust have extensive background in event sales and promotionAbility to perform all job duties and responsibilitiesRequires excellent communication skills, both verbally and writtenMust have expertise in profitability analysis and budgetingExhibits strong problem-solving skills in long term and immediate situations
