Event Producer
to join its marketing team. It offers a hybrid on-site/home-based working environment, with the expectation of a two-day presence per week, in our office in Centennial.You’ll ensure events successfully drive sales activity and brand awareness, paying attention to budget and time constraints. An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and execute all aspects of domestic tradeshows, from pre-event planning, to execution and event follow up, including some onsite management.Manage all aspects of tradeshows including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, logistics, content, shipping, booth design and branding.Assist in coordination of other events, such as webinars, sponsorships, round tables and bespoke activities.Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and business development to collect information, meet deadlines and support the strategies and goals of the business.Coordinate domestic and international shipping.Work with exhibit contractors to design booth layouts, and coordinate logistics such as booth construction, AV, electrical and other services.Negotiate and execute contracts for booth space and sponsorships with event organizers and vendors.Participate in yearly tradeshow budget planning, and cost-effectively manage show budgets during the year.Coordinate creative media content needs for tradeshows including booth graphics, videos and other graphics to ensure consistent branding.Ensure all event activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.Foster relationships with industry partners and associations to enhance Vicon’s presence and reputation at events.Stay current with trade show best practices and emerging technologies to enhance attendee engagement and improve operational efficiency, as well as research new events.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Proven experience in event managementHighly self-motivated and results driven.Skilled in project managementKnowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event managementCustomer-service orientationExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Ability to multi-task and effectively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to develop new relationships and network with key contacts inside and outside the company.10% travel time.BS/BA in PR, marketing, or related field is preferred
