The Manager of Power Marketing Origination will report to the Vice President of Power Marketing Origination and be responsible for supporting the origination of revenue-generating opportunities for Adapture Renewables’ project development activities.Adapture Renewables, Inc. is on a mission to be a leader in this new era of sustainable energy. Drawing upon an extensive knowledge base, we develop, finance, engineer, build, own, and operate high quality utility-scale photovoltaic projects and battery energy storage projects. Our team is looking for a talented Manager of Power Marketing Origination to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. Adapture Renewables is owned by KIRKBI – the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family founded to build a sustainable future for the LEGO brand through generations.Overview

The Manager of Power Marketing Origination will report to the Vice President of Power Marketing Origination and be responsible for supporting the origination of revenue-generating opportunities for Adapture Renewables’ project development activities. This role will support management and the regional development teams in target markets to guide their regional and market segment focus. In addition, this person will be responsible for driving the commercialization of individual projects by translating renewable projects into solutions for offtake customers and transacting with these customers through structured energy contracts. The candidate will ideally be based near our Bay Area home office.Core Responsibilities

Execute company’s origination strategy and business plan in renewable energy and capacity product sales.Identify key market segments and potential counterparties within those segments.Support relationships with new and existing customers within each segment.Working with potential customers, develop solutions customized to their energy needs that can lead to bilateral contract relationships.Maintain market intelligence on potential customers, upcoming/outstanding requests for proposals, and trends in energy transactions.Review and evaluate requests for proposals (RFPs/RFIs) across all US regions and work with regional development teams to respond with proposals, pricing, term sheets, definitive documents, etc., sufficient to engage the end users, find opportunities and start the negotiation process.Support the pricing of energy and related products in offtake agreements and proposals by coordinating with Project Finance.Negotiate and close definitive documents with offtakers, including bundled PPAs, VPPAs, REC only agreements, various long-term price hedges, and other alternative offtake arrangements.Support relationships with key customers.Gather and provide market intelligence feedback to the development and leadership teams to guide the company’s development and acquisition strategy.Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 3 years related experience in power industry energy marketing/origination, development, or finance.Undergraduate degree required, with marketing, MBA, or law degree a plus.Experience sourcing, tracking, evaluating, and proposing energy infrastructure projects and offtake agreements/strategies.Firm understanding of economic drivers in renewable infrastructure investments and experience with related finance models.Excellent organizational and program management skills.Strong communications skills, with the experience presenting complex energy solutions and deal structures succinctly to internal and external senior level corporate management.Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders.Job duties will involve occasional travel.Ideal candidate will have both sell side and buy side experience.Benefits Package
