In response to our growing business needs, we are excited to announce the creation of a new position:

Social Media Manager . This position is responsible for developing and growing our social media presence across new and existing social media platforms and establishing new presences, as appropriate. The goal of the Wilson Racquets Sports social media strategy is to build, nurture and grow loyal communities as well as leverage brand social media platforms to promote our products, generate awareness, grow brand loyalty, and ultimately drive an increase in sales.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Generate a global social media strategy, which includes channel and content creation plan that aligns to overall business goals by region.Proactively work within a global and regional matrix organization structure to effectively collaborate and support the regional social media execution.Stay current on social media platform updates and ensure that best practices are being applied across the board.Support or lead the development of recommendations for the Wilson Racquet Sports team.Develop and present reports to leadership including establishing metrics, gleaning community insights, and delivering recommendations on a regular basis.Develop recurring social platform and social monitoring reports and paid social analyses to inform social media recommendations.Gather and analyze insights from across social and communicate learnings to the larger marketing and leadership team.Manage the daily moderation of communities posting strategy and optimization.Be the eyes and ears of the brand across the entire social media industry, including monitoring competitors in the space and surface relevant learnings to the team.Identify conversations or crisis that requires response and route through the appropriate departments for resolution.Locate and engage potential advocates within the brand’s social community.Oversee consistency of brand presence in social on a global level, including cascading strategies, providing feedback on content and content approaches.Establish social influencer strategy, including overall goals, target audience and social platform campaigns.Execute social influencer plan, including briefing creative development, capturing social media content, and reporting the results and key learnings of such campaigns.Be the social media expert by growing the social acumen of counterparts across the organization.What We're Looking For

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in journalism, literature, public relations, communications, marketing, multimedia, creative design, or related field. We are looking for a candidate with minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience including strong experience planning, people management, and executing social media initiatives in a corporate or agency setting.Other qualifications include:Community engagement/building experience with the ability to design and execute consumer facing social media opportunities and trends in the marketplace.True subject matter expertise in social media platforms with significant first-hand experience with major platforms.Understanding of how to work in a global corporate role and indirectly manage regional social media accounts and teams.Experience leveraging social media management and analytics tools, including, but not limited to Sprout, Sprinklr, HootSuite, etc.Proficient with writing, editing, and crafting content for social media accounts.Know-how with capturing video and photo content for social media accounts.Self-motivated and takes initiative and ownership, continually looking for ways to improve processes and platforms.Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects across multiple brands in a dynamic environment.Creative problem solver with a high level of creativity in problem-solving and program development.Avid Racquet Sports Fan who can speak authoritatively about racquet sports, specifically tennis and pickleball.Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills.PowerPoint skills, from content development to professional formatting.Available to travel approximately 25% of the time, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings as required by events and business needs.What We’ll ProvideLocated in the vibrant, sports-centric city of Chicago, Wilson Sporting Goods Co. global headquarters sits along the lakefront with first-class access to a burgeoning creative, innovative, energetic and active professional community.
