Senior Product Designer

will be responsible for leading complex design projects and mentoring junior team members, using your expertise in product design and K12 education technology. You will make strategic, data-driven decisions, build strong collaborative relationships, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation in your product team. fearlessly objective , constantly asking “Why?” and is not afraid to find answers from our users, our data, and our analytics, even if it goes against your own ideas.Exercises agency , solving design problems no one asked them to specifically solve and speaking up when something isn’t working.Your work will have a significant impact on our product and the experience for every educator on the platform.In this role, you will:Lead major and minor product design efforts, from small usability improvements to whole product information architecture revisions, ensuring high standards and quality.Collaborate cross-functionally with your product team of engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders, using empathy and strong teamwork to achieve collective goals and roadmap.Utilize your strong understanding of design principles, user experience best practices, and visual design, in your own work as well as providing guidance and sharing best practices with other designers on the team, fostering the growth and development of product design as a whole.Conduct user research, analyze data, and apply insights to make informed design decisions that enhance our educator’s experience.Promote a culture of regular feedback, reflection, and iterative progress to ensure continuous enhancement of products and processes.What We’re Looking For:In addition to values alignment…5 years of experience working as a product designer or similar in a team building a software productExperience in conducting and analyzing user research studies and translating insights into actionable design improvements.Strong written, visual, and verbal communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teammates and other designers.Expertise in agile product development methodologies.Ideally, experience in designing for K12 education technology or classroom use.Availability during our overlap hours: UTC+2 — UTC-7In the short term (the first 3 months), you will:Onboard and become familiar with our product and design practices.Lead the research and design of an important set of features.Establish strong working relationships with teammates.Begin sharing your knowledge and feedback with other designers and contributing to team best practices.In the Long term, you will:Partner with the team to deliver large-scale projects from concept to completion.Influence and improve the overall design culture and processes.Continuously identify opportunities for design improvement and innovation.Salary:
