Digital Content Creator . Due to the school calendar, there will be multiple paid days off when school is not in session, in addition to holidays and vacation days, plus full benefits.

The

Digital Content Creator

collaborates with the Advancement team to implement strategies by helping build positive community relations through social media and marketing campaigns. Reports on editorial content to Associate Director of Communications and Marketing.

This position includes but is not limited to the following duties:

Multimedia & Design (50%)

Collects, takes, and archives photographs in order to effectively tell the school's story for marketing and communications.

Attends and photographs all after school and weekend events.

Shoots and edits videos for storytelling for marketing and communications.

Creates media and graphic design assets for marketing and communications.

Helps manage external designers, photographers, videographers, and printers as needed.

Supports Associate Director of Communications and Marketing with generating content for various platforms.

Designs and produces the annual Yearbook.

Social Media (25%)

Creates content utilizing social media channels that supports and exemplifies the school's mission and promotes financial engagement.

Manages social media and video accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)–creating and distributing content for optimal engagement.

Responds quickly (within 12 hours) and warmly to all social media comments.

Monitors social media tools and marketing trends in order to effectively promote the school in the digital world.

General (25%)

Supports the managing of public marketing website as needed.

Works within school LMS system (including Blackbaud, Finalsite and other platforms).

Supports on-campus marketing efforts.

Solicits testimonials for online review sites.

Works closely with faculty and staff to fulfill marketing goals.

Collaborates with the composing, editing, and proofing of all marketing materials.

Maintains a clear, professional writing voice so that all school marketing materials remain consistent and identifiable throughout various platforms.

Follows guidelines for the fulfillment of duties as described in the

Employee Handbook .

Supports all large community events as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field (required).

Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email software (required).

Minimum 2 years video production and photography experience (required).

Minimum 2 years graphic design experience [Canva, Adobe Suite] (required).

Minimum 3 years of experience using social media for marketing purposes (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), and other social media management tools (required).

Experience with SLR camera (preferred).

SKILLS:

Operate peripheral equipment including printers, portable storage drives, digital cameras and projectors, and smartphones.

Creatively translate abstract concepts into effective visual form in a variety of media.

Research and learn new software and adapt to changes in technology.

Work individually on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Prioritize, organize, schedule, and complete multiple projects simultaneously with close attention to detail and quality, to meet established deadlines.

Ability to work proactively, collaboratively, and courteously with colleagues throughout the school, alumni, other constituents, and the general public.

Possesses the flexibility and initiative to work independently and thrive in a team environment to achieve departmental goals.

Demonstrates personal integrity, friendliness, patience, fairness, openness, non-defensiveness, sensitivity, flexibility, and enthusiasm.

Ability to solve practical problems and apply common sense in dealing with situations of all types.

Ability to work with students.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly sits, talks, and listens.

Be able to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

Regularly uses close and distance vision.

Works at desk and at a computer screen for extended periods of time.

Turns, bends, and reaches.

Works in a traditional, climate-controlled office environment.

Ability to walk a 60-acre campus.

Terms of Employment :

This is an exempt position. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, long-term disability, and a retirement plan (with up to 7% employer match). The regular workday is 7:30 am–4:00 pm. Occasional early morning, evening, and some weekend work is required; comp time will be offered at the Director's discretion to offset that time.
