The Associate Director of Marketing works to ensure that engaging marketing and social media content is created and shared across all platforms reaching external audiences, and that projects serving strategic Admissions and Advancement goals are delivered on time. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Associate Director of Marketing collaborates closely with Admissions and Advancement leadership and marketing team members to build marketing strategies, gather content and create messaging and materials that are persuasive and on brand. They also collaborate with departments and faculty across campus to promote the highest priorities of the school and ensure all aspects of our Jesuit education are highlighted in digital, print and social media outlets. They proactively manage the project management system for external marketing and communications activity related to meeting Admissions and Advancement goals.

Remote working flexibility is an option with this position, with a schedule determined in consultation with supervisors.

Essential Responsibilities

Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute effective content marketing strategies that support the campaigns and goals of the Admissions and Advancement departments.Write email messages, stories, newsletters, social media posts, web copy and other marketing content as needed to advance Admissions and Advancement goals and priorities.Create and send email newsletters, solicitations, event invitations and other vehicles to key external audiences.Manage the school’s social media accounts, including developing organic content and paid advertising strategies, tracking engagement analytics and posting regularly.Perform intake meetings with project leads to determine outcomes, timelines, deliverables and overall strategy.Stay current on student, faculty and staff activities to source content for all platforms and media.Manage relationships and communications with print and other vendors, including processing invoices and project estimates.Attend various school events to take photos and video.Collaborate with Director of Marketing and Multimedia Graphic Designer to ensure that brand assets and standards are followed, the best content is leveraged, and messages and materials are visually appealing.Monitor and provide feedback on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.Assist in conducting competitive analysis and maintain awareness of the competitive social media landscape to stay informed of industry trends.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong strategic mind for content creation and messaging that delivers on a specified goal.Proficient in copywriting, including writing and producing digital and print messages and materials that are persuasive, on brand, authentic and fresh.Skilled user of digital and social media platforms for creating and sharing dynamic messages with key audiences.Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills to partner with others to make sound decisions and solve problems creatively and professionally.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and ability to collaborate and coordinate across organizational boundaries.Proven ability to manage marketing vendors and partners (i.e., print vendors, advertising partners, videographers, photographers, etc.)Flexibility, sense of urgency, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Capacity to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Willingness and ability to attend events outside of normal business hours.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of experience in a busy marketing/communications department.Previous experience managing marketing projects.Proficiency with Project Management software.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience at a high school or higher education institution.Understanding of the cycles of Admissions and/or Advancement functions.Experience with Hootsuite or other social media management platform.Experience with email marketing platforms.Bilingual (Spanish & English).
