CHF now serves in over 30 countries.POSITION OVERVIEW:The

Director / Senior Director of Marketing

will develop and execute the strategies for communications and marketing initiatives to consistently promote and elevate the visibility of Children’s Hunger Fund to accomplish the mission of the organization by moving audiences from awareness to engagement. The Director / Senior Director of Marketing will effectively develop and execute marketing and public relations programs, digital media and communication, and speak into the development of digital and print assets for the entire organization with a keen eye to CHF’s constituents and donor base. The position will influence the present and future direction of CHF’s overall marketing campaign by determining and evaluating current and future needs, market trends, and ensuring the campaign’s ongoing effectiveness. The Director / Senior Director of Marketing will work closely with the Executive Director of Relationship Development, the Executive Team, and the Leadership Team within the organization as the ‘Communications & Marketing partner’ on a variety of strategic initiatives, plans, and projects.Relates Closely With:

Executive Director of Relationship DevelopmentLead in developing and implementing a communication and marketing plan that supports the organization’s strategic priorities utilizing both traditional and digital communication.Know and understand the target audiences of Children’s Hunger Fund and Poverty Encounter, including demographics, key metrics, lifestyles, preferences, needs, desires, and societal pressures.Partner with internal teams responsible for our strategic priorities to supervise communications and marketing plans for target audience with measurable goals and objectives.Support the Executive Team by providing recommendations on prioritizing marketing initiatives to optimize ministry effectiveness of capacity and internal resources.Give direction, development, and support to the Communications & Marketing team members to support new and ongoing projects and programs, including:Annual AiG VBS projectCoin Pak ProjectFood PakMobile Food PakVirtual Food PakPoverty EncounterFeedback projectsOther projects and programs as assignedGive direction as needed to the Communications & Marketing team members on the print and digital media assets to our current donor base including: Frontlines, monthly solicit letters, blog, monthly email blasts, prayer email blasts, and the annual Giving Catalog.Know and understand CHF’s history, messaging, and values and effectively communicate our story to our target audiences.Oversee all social media platforms for marketing and communications purposes (Children’s Hunger Fund and Poverty Encounter).Oversee the content and design on all websites (Children’s Hunger Fund, Poverty Encounter, CHF Legacy Foundation) ensuring continuity of brand and programs.Lend oversight and direction on the annual budgets for both Communications and Marketing.Report on key metrics to Executive leadership, providing campaign updates and quarterly reports on Marketing initiatives.Oversee that all marketing data is updated in Salesforce on a timely and accurate basis.As it relates to the Marketing Plan and any Communications and/or Marketing Department needs or projects, speak into the development and production of copyrightable works (print, photography, film, music, visual arts, etc.) for distribution in various media and formats.Participate in (and contribute to) meetings as appropriate including weekly all-staff meetings, Leadership Team meetings, periodic Executive Team meetings, and planning and budget meetings.Attend and participate in CHF events as needed and/or assigned, including: Volunteer Workdays, other special events such as banquets, receptions, etc.Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities:Lead by example: demonstrate CHF’s mission, values, and distinctives in execution of responsibilities.Follow and support CHF policies and procedures; contribute to required meetings and events.Develop, coach, and encourage assigned employees for current and future success.Oversee employee responsibilities in accordance with CHF guidelines, including staffing, goal and performance management, and compensation review.Equipment:· Standard Office Equipment (telephone, computer workstation, printer, copier, scanner, calculator)· Primarily: office, churches, public venues, commercial establishments; Occasionally: warehousePhysical Demands:· Constantly exchange accurate information whether verbally or in writing· Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery such as telephone, printer, fax· Frequently travel outside the office to churches, commercial establishments, public venues· Frequently work seated at a desk (at least 50% of the time) and for long periods of time such as for international air/ground travel as well as navigate uneven terrain by foot· Frequently move around inside the office to access files cabinets, attend meetings, utilize office machinery· Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.· Occasionally set up and break down a display boothMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; active member of a gospel-centered, Christian local church; demonstrates ongoing growth in Christian maturity.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field of study required.Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field of study helpful.5-10 years of related work experience including in a leadership role.Proven experience in developing and executing national marketing campaigns and increasing brand awareness.Proven experience supervising teams with the ability to coach and develop an effective team to performance.Ability to seek essential input from key stakeholders and collaborate deftly across the organization.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to build relationships and partnerships.Ability to speak publicly and professionally on behalf of CHF, communicating clearly about CHF’s mission, distinctives and ministry.Demonstrated initiative and drive, a self-starter with proven record of meeting and/or exceeding established goals.Ability to drive creative and innovative ways to raise awareness of CHF in the community among individuals, businesses, churches, domestic and international partners.Innovative problem-solver, able to respectfully negotiate and resolve differences for the success of all involved.Demonstrated integrity, able to maintain and foster both individual and CHF reputation in the community.Ability to travel to fulfill strategic plans, growth goals, location activity, or support partnerships.Proficient in Windows or MAC-OS/MS Office 365/Internet/Social Media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, etc.) and applicable marketing-related applications.Ability to quickly learn new software applications.Experience working with Salesforce preferred, or related database experience.Knowledge of marketing analytics tools, advertising, and maximizing website/social media influencing.NOTE:
