The Communications Director assists the Interserve USA leadership team in communicating internally with our Board Members, Staff, Partners, Candidates, and Applicants, and externally with our donor base, Alumni, and the broader Church in the USA. The Director of Communications will enable Interserve to convey its vision, calling, mission, and activities effectively and compellingly.The Communications Director will also support the personnel department in mobilizing workers. This includes designing and creating ads, banners, prayer cards, online displays, videos, conference planning, coordination, and publicity.In addition, the Communications Director will persistently research and monitor changes in communications and technology security, advise the ISV leadership team on policy changes, and plan necessary changes in communications and technology to ensure secure communications throughout Interserve USA.Reports to:

This is an exempt, full-time position.Specific Duties:Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications strategic plan, including newsletters, annual reports, and biannual fundraising appeals.Write and construct email outreach schedules for donors via email marketing platforms.Gather data and analytics for biannual board meetings.Collaborate with the Personnel Team on content for brochures, annual reports, newsletters, and magazines.Assist with conferences and seminars, providing materials and managing registrations.Collect and compose stories about Partner work.Write content for website pages and scripts for presentations and videos.Design and edit the company website and coordinate webpage maintenance.Oversee and develop content for social media platforms.Design office stationery and manage printing orders.Coordinate annual meetings.Participate in and lead daily devotional and prayer time.Research and implement changes in communications and technology security.Review communications from partners for security risks.Liaise with the Interserve international office and other national offices.Serve as part of the Directors Council, collaborating with other directors.Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.Demonstrate personal commitment to following the Lord Jesus Christ.Exhibit ongoing spiritual growth and development.Share the ethos and lifestyle of Interserve as articulated in the Interserve Statement of Faith and Life.Participate fully in the ministry of Interserve.Be biblically literate and able to pray and care for others.Preferably have overseas living or mission experience.Express hospitality towards colleagues, partners, and donors.Demonstrate teamwork, humility, servanthood, and attention to detail.Work independently and take initiative.Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Be comfortable in a multi-cultural setting and across multiple time zones.Adapt to changing personnel and circumstances.Collaborate with team members across the USA.Preferably reside in the Philadelphia area.Professional Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Ability to learn and use Interserve communications and data management platforms.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Key skills: communication strategy, graphic design, video recording/editing, website design, article/blog writing, social media strategy, basic IT knowledge.Able to transform knowledge into engaging messages for appropriate audiences.Fluent in Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, and equivalents.Relationship builder and flexible team player.Collaborative approach with all constituent groups.Enjoy being involved in various key initiatives.Agreement with the policies and procedures in the Interserve USA Employee Handbook is required.Interserve USA is an employer-at-will.
