Marketing & Business Strategy Associate Intern

Our mission is to accelerate community-based change by bridging the opportunity gap for underrepresented men, women, and families in the State of Connecticut and beyond.JDBF is seeking a marketing & business strategy associate intern to work in a remote position. This position will include some travel, but this will equate to no more than 30% of the time allotment.Job Description:This role includes handling the organization’s social media, content creation and strategy, and adding value to the company’s marketing approach. This role will include leadership opportunities as well as the ability to utilize talents for additional commission.The Responsibilities:Research opportunities/key relationships to build awareness of organization programs.Strategize new avenues for fundraising that are aligned with the foundation's mission.Assist with donor relations (may include sending solicitation letters, sending thank-you letters, ensuring that donors are notified about how their donations are being used, etc.).Manage organization Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn & Facebook pages.Edit/Create content to build interest in organization programs.Create content for foundation events and programs.Build marketing content to attract traffic towards the organization website and social media.Manage foundation website pages (Squarespace platform).Strategize/create a plan for content that supports the organization’s marketing and fundraising strategy.Track and report data (e.g., views/clicks, new vs. repeat traffic, etc.).Minimum Requirements:Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program in any business-related, computer science/technology, or related fields of education.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using Squarespace or building/editing websites.Experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or WordPress.Leadership experience as part of a team.Passion, drive, and ambition for the mission of the organization and the people we serve.Proactive thinker with creative ideas for content and growth.Additional Information:This role is 90% remote, with mandatory team meetings and sessions (via virtual calls).This role does not require sponsorship.This role is open to any and all college-aged students (giving the State of Connecticut priority).Interns are paid by a grant structure per semester.This position requires a minimum of 10-20 hours per week.
