Self Financial is a venture-backed, high-growth FinTech company with a mission to increase economic inclusion and financial resilience by empowering people to build credit and build savings.

We're looking for people who share our passion and are driven to tackle challenges, find solutions and make the financial space better for the communities we serve.

Our team is passionate about challenging the status quo of the credit industry by providing people accessible tools to take control of their credit. Executing on our mission requires deep collaboration across our teams to ensure our products reach the people who can benefit from them the most, particularly the 100 million+ Americans who have no or low credit.

We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. To that end, we seek to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.

Do you thrive on driving engagement and reducing churn through data-driven strategies? If so, we want you to join our dynamic marketing team as a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager.

As a key member of the Lifecycle Marketing Team, reporting directly to the Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing strategies that not only retain our Builders but also drive them to continue engaging products and adopt more. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams (Data Analytics, Product Marketing, Digital Product, Creative, among others) to deeply understand our users, and develop messaging strategies that address their needs while maximizing engagement, activation, and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Execution:

Lead the development and evolution of multi-channel marketing programs using Braze, focusing on email, push, and SMS to drive KPI improvement across our core product lines.

Leadership and Influence:

Proven ability to mentor other managers and ICs on the team, influence cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to organizational leadership.

KPI Ownership:

Take charge of crucial KPIs for our non-active users such as product attach rate, user activation rate, payment rate, and churn, driving outcomes that align with business objectives.

Customer Journey Mapping:

Design and implement customer journey maps, creating marketing programs that resonate with key customer moments and behaviors.

Campaign Optimization:

Continuously identify opportunities to enhance campaign performance through A/B testing, analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to refine strategies.

Performance Monitoring:

Proactively monitor campaign performance, swiftly identifying and addressing fluctuations to ensure consistent KPI achievement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Product, Analytics, and Creative teams to create informed and impactful messaging strategies and customer experiences.

Data & CRM Management:

Ensure clean, effective segmentation and communication by querying our customer database and partnering with data and marketing ops teams.

Reporting & Communication:

Clearly communicate campaign effectiveness and insights to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.

What You Bring:

8+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, with a strong focus on email, SMS, and push marketing.

Proven track record in building complex lifecycle programs within marketing automation platforms (experience with Braze is a plus).

Expertise in A/B testing methodologies and driving KPI improvement.

Strong experience in consumer journey mapping, with the ability to build intricate user segments and trigger logic.

Basic HTML knowledge to ensure email templates are responsive and functional across all devices. Most work is done in native template builders.

A data-obsessed mindset, collaborating with analytics teams for deeper insights while not being fearful of creating Tableau and Excel reports.

A BS degree or equivalent experience; an MS degree is a plus.

Base salary range: $108,000-132,000 annually. Individual pay is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and other job-related reasons.
