Director, Office of Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory

The Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) conducts research in tropical meteorology and oceanographic investigations centering on the transport, composition (thermal and chemical), structure and dynamical processes of ocean and coastal water masses; global climate change; fluxes of energy, gases, and materials through the air-sea interface; and integrated coastal ecosystem management that focuses on the Atlantic Ocean basin and surrounding areas. To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must possess all of the mandatory Executive Core Qualifications and Professional/Technical Qualifications listed below and the educational requirement. These qualifications would typically be acquired through education, experience, and training which reflect progressive development and achievement in managing a comprehensive business program in a complex organization. An individual's total experience and education must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position. Broad knowledge of current Tropical Meteorology, Climate, Coastal and Ocean Research and understanding current methods, challenges, problems, and issues in these scientific fields.PTQ 2 -

Demonstrated senior-level experience and ability in the areas of organizational analysis/assessment and management principles and practices associated with program planning and execution for a scientifically and technically complex organization that operates within a DEIA framework.PTQ 3 -
