Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Director of Strategic Marketing and Program Management will provide strategic and operational leadership to support the execution of our business and marketing strategy. Your role will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and fostering market development. Building on our transformation agenda, you will be instrumental in integrating various elements of the marketing organization into a cohesive and impactful strategy, bringing clarity, focus, and a mindset of operational excellence.

This position acts as a crucial link between the CMO, executives, and daily operations, enhancing transparency and clarity of information while spearheading key projects aligned with corporate priorities and marketing operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

Annual Planning: Lead the annual planning process for Marketing, including meetings and workshops with meticulous planning and coordination.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the planning process, driving a unique marketing strategy and focused plan across geographies and regions.

Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the CMO and Marketing/Communications leadership to develop and implement mechanisms to connect and track strategic projects aligned with BCOV’s business objectives.

Performance Metrics: Assist in setting priorities and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts, working closely with Marketing Operations leaders.

QBR Leadership: Lead the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process for marketing, working closely with Revenue and Marketing Operations to improve communication and transparency of information.

Project Management

Initiative Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional marketing and communications projects, steering strategic business initiatives from inception to completion.

Risk Evaluation: Assist in evaluating risk factors when making critical business decisions.

Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, corporate communications, sales, product management, and revenue operations, to ensure timely and successful execution of initiatives.

Progress Reporting: Develop a system for updating the CMO and leadership on cross-functional team progress, roadblocks, and at-risk deliverables.

Team Support

Communications Support: Provide support for ongoing communications across the Global Marketing and Communications team, including driving the agenda and success of quarterly Marketing All Hands meetings, bi-weekly video briefings, and other timely communications to keep teams engaged and informed.

Preparation of Materials: Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external meetings, including support for Board Meetings and QBRs.

Stakeholder Engagement

Relationship Building: Identify and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, cross-functional team members, and other external leaders.

Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the CMO and various stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.

Operational Excellence

Efficiency Projects: Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness projects from conception to completion within the Global Marketing & Communications team.

Process Improvement: Streamline processes, implement best practices, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within business processes.

Meeting Management: Keep meetings focused and coordinated effectively, including proactively managing, leading, and following up on bi-weekly Marketing Executive Leadership (MLT) meetings.

Budget Planning: Provide leadership for the budget planning process, working closely with Marketing and Communications leaders and finance.

Team Leadership

Work Environment: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the Global Marketing & Communications team.

Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to help them achieve their professional goals and objectives.

Culture Initiatives: Help with team culture and morale-focused initiatives in partnership with our people strategy team.

Qualifications/Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business strategy, or a related field; MBA and prior experience with corporate strategy and planning are a plus.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, product marketing, or a related field, with leadership or management experience preferred.

Skills: Strong business acumen, strategic and systems thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable strategies.

Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects.

Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences in both written narratives and presentations.

Discretion: Ability to handle business-sensitive information with discretion.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and guide stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Influence: Experience influencing and building credibility with high-performing teams.

Adaptability: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing demands, setting priorities, and working effectively on multiple tasks simultaneously.
