Carbon Ridge (“CR”) is a United States-based developer of carbon capture & storage solutions for the Maritime and Offshore industries. CR's Onboard Carbon Capture & Storage (“OCCS”) solution provides a low-cost and near-term solution to significantly reduce the intensity of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases (GHGs) onboard large maritime vessels and offshore operating assets. We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing and Public Relations Intern to join our team and help amplify our message within climate and shipping verticals.As a Marketing Intern at Carbon Ridge, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing within a forward-thinking, mission-driven organization. You'll work closely with our team to support campaigns, create engaging content, and assist with market research. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn and make a real impact related to climate change and decarbonization. This position will be hybrid, with some in-person work at our offices in Santa Monica, as well as remote work depending on the candidate's academic schedules and availability of our team.Key Responsibilities:Content Creation: Assist in developing and curating content for our customer / investor presentations, website, blog, and social media.Assist in planning and executing marketing and PR campaigns, including drafting press materials, designing promotional assets, and scheduling social media posts.Media Relations: Support media outreach efforts, including preparing media kits, tracking press coverage, and helping with press inquiries.Event Support: Aid in organizing and promoting events, such as press conferences, webinars, and community outreach programs.Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, media outlets, and competitors to inform strategies and identify opportunities.Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to translate day-to-day engineering activities into presentable materials for stakeholders.Qualifications:Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with LinkedIn.Graphic Design: Adept and experienced with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for creating visual content is a plus.Creativity: Ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas.Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Interest: Passion for environmental sustainability and an interest in carbon capture technologies is a plus.Experience: Previous internship or work experience in marketing is a plus.What We Offer:Learning Experience: Gain valuable experience in marketing within a high-impact organization.Professional Development: Opportunities to attend industry events and workshops.Flexible Hours: Adaptable schedule to accommodate your academic commitments.Team Environment: Join a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to making a positive environmental impact.Carbon Ridge is an equal opportunity employer.
