Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJDuties:Direct all worship music accompaniment and choir direction at Protestant services as instructed by the Protestant Service Chaplain.Select and prepare music for weekly services and special events in coordination with the Protestant Service Chaplain.Recruit, train, and manage choir members, ensuring they are prepared for performances.Conduct weekly rehearsals and additional rehearsals for special events.Monitor and maintain chapel musical instruments and ensure the proper use and storage of musical equipment.Coordinate music selections with the service musician and ensure compliance with safety and security requirements.Provide choir support for military and civilian community events as directed.Participate actively in the Protestant community at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.Requirements:Minimum of three years of experience leading a choir and providing musical accompaniment for Protestant worship services.Familiarity with Protestant faith tenets as practiced within the Protestant tradition.Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a choir within a pluralistic environment.A college degree in music is highly desired.Ability to demonstrate rhythmic accuracy, music sensitivity, and proficiency in reading music.
