Senior Fire Protection Designer

This role serves as lead designer on larger, more complex fire protection projects.What you’ll do:Completes more complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to fire suppression and detection systems for large projectsServes as lead on entire lifecycle of large projects as it pertains to fire protection including layout, permit procurement, field surveys, coordination, creation of fabrication lists, answering and assist with field generated questions, RFI creation, and as-builtsMonitors long term project deadlines and ensures deliverables are metQCs work done by less-experienced designers. Mentors less-experienced team membersWhat you’ll need to be successful:High School Diploma or G.E.D. requiredAssociate’s Degree preferredNICET III minimumRepresents Southland FP design to all project parties and attends in person meetings with owner’s, general contractors and AHJsStrong PM skills including creation of projections, FP design budget management, and ability to produce and follow change ordersAbility to manage multiple designers to meet deliverables, deadlines, and objectivesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong prioritization skills.Strong MS Office Suite skills, including Excel and WordBenefits:401(k) Plan with
