Web ManagerMarketing and CommunicationsFull-TimeSoutheast Missouri State University's Marketing & Communications department is looking for a skilled Web Manager to join our team. The Web Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the University's web presence, ensuring websites provide great user experience, are technically sound, and align with brand standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, marketing, and project management skills to enhance our digital footprint and support our strategic goals.Primary ResponsibilitiesOversee the design, development, and functionality of the websites, working closely with internal stakeholders to meet their needsLead and supervise a web team on projects from conception to completion, including site redesigns, updates, and new feature implementationsManage and maintain SEMO’s website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and engagingImplement and monitor web analytics to track site performance, user behavior, and engagement metricsCoordinate with the SEO strategist to optimize website content for search engines and improve organic search rankingsEnsure websites are accessible, mobile-friendly, and compliant with web standards and regulationsManage content management systems (CMS) and provide training and support to internal content contributorsTroubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT and the web developerStay updated on the latest web technologies, trends, and best practices to continually enhance our web presenceDevelop and administer web policies, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and quality across all web propertiesEnthusiastically collaborate with team members to achieve University goals, create effective campaigns, and elevate the SEMO brandMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in web development, computer science, marketing, or a related fieldProven experience in web management, with a strong portfolio of successful web projects and supervisory experienceProficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Velocity, and experience with content management systems (CMS). Knowledge of back-end technologies such as PHP or PythonKnowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and SEO platformsKnowledge of web accessibility standards as described in WCAG 2.0Superb attention to detail as well as effective written and communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsSuperior time management, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and the discipline to deliver projectsApplication Information:
