Director of Marketing & Public RelationsJob Summary:The Director of Marketing and Public Relations is responsible for the creation, implementation, and measurement of the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations program that will enhance the organization’s image and position within the marketplace and community. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating internal and external communications, participating in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives, and supporting each functional area in developing effective marketing and communications plans at a strategic and tactical level.Duties & Responsibilities:Develops communication and marketing plans to promote the vision, mission, goals, and achievements of the organization to a diverse audience.Support emphasis on teen recruitment by implementing targeted marketing solutions.Manage and maintain social media communication and reach.Oversee the development and maintenance of the website for the organization, which includes certain parent registration forms.Responsible for editorial direction and design of Organization publications and appearance of all Organization print materials, such as letterhead, use of logos, brochures, etc.Develops/implements and updates branding and editorial standards and communicates them to staff.Adapt or create message, and vehicles for promoting upcoming events or programs to the public and members, including newsletters, public service announcements, flyers, etc.Collaborates with the development team on the creation and delivery of fundraising activities and marketing initiatives.Coordinates the production of materials to include content/style editing, designing, printing, photography, videography, and/or copywriting.Prepares and/or coordinates advertising, media-buying, and donor-based marketing plans.Coordinates marketing and communication calendars, production schedules and deadlines, including coordination of work carried out by external vendors.Submits material to journals, associations, or other external media, either proactively or in response to requests.Ensures digital/web development and delivery supports the effective communication of Organizational messages.Coordinates media interest in the Organization and ensures regular contact with target media and appropriate responses to media requests.Create and implement crisis management communication plans.Proactively identifies organization needs and execute appropriate strategies.Other duties as required.Required Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.Accomplished marketing and communications professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.Must be self-motivated, competitive, creative, personable, and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal skills.Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies.Strong graphic design and digital media skills to include expertise in Adobe CC, Social Media Management, CRM Systems, Digital Development, and Email Marketing Platforms, and the ability to evaluate, learn, and apply new technology quickly.Demonstrated ability of compelling story-telling and creative writing.
