The school is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, in one of the largest media markets in the country. We offer journalism classes in public relations, advertising, print/digital, broadcast/digital, and photojournalism. The Mayborn enrolls approximately 1,000 undergraduate students and 75 graduate students. Graduates have won many national and international awards, including Pulitzer Prizes. The school offers students multi-platform professional opportunities including the award-winning North Texas Daily student newspaper, Denton Public Access TV, and student-run photography and ad/PR agencies. The school also hosts the annual Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference, the nationally acclaimed conference for aspiring and experienced writers, journalists and authors.*Position Overview*The Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for :Advertising Technology, Programmatic Advertising, Advertising analytics, Advertising Media Buying and Planning, Influencer Marketing, Ad Management, Ad Copywriting, Ad Art Direction, Research and Campaign EvaluationQuantitative Methods, Computer Applications for Ad and PR, PR for Non-Profits, Strategic Social MediaSports Media Relations; Public Relations Writing*Minimum Qualifications*Master’s degree in journalism or related field.Advertising and Public Relations experience.*Preferred Qualifications*Three years full-time experience in media and/or college teaching.*Required License/Registration/Certifications*
