Job Description

An Architecture Design Professional supports project teams using a wide range of developing professional skills. Performs basic design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge while working under general supervision. Eager to learn, highly organized and willing to contribute creatively to the team.

Responsibilities:

May assist in preparing proposals, presentations, schedules and processing of implementation documentation and samplesMay participate in communication with other disciplines, vendors and contractors to incorporate information into project requirementsParticipates in team meetings to discuss project issues, design and technical issues and coordination with other disciplinesDevelops understanding of the firm's basic accounting principles, project budgets and feesUnderstands the financial implications of overhead and chargeable time, including accountability to project plan and planned utilization rateFosters awareness of the importance of growing and maintaining client relationships and the basic concept of business developmentMay assist in production of marketing presentationsModifies or creates implementation documents, applying standard architectural techniques, collaborative design computations and procedures as assigned under directionPerforms routine architectural assignments and may have some design responsibility collaborating with other team members as designatedAssignments may include higher-level work for training/development purposesMay attend on-site visits, field reviews and client and/or project meetings as appropriateQualifications

Accredited professional degree in Architecture or related fieldOn the path to Architectural RegistrationTypically with 0-3 years of experienceSustainable design accreditation preferredKnowledge of architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling preferredKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite preferredKnowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelinesKnowledge of building codesAbility to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing

Additional Information

The salary for this position is anticipated to range between

$67,400 - $73,000

per year plus bonus. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
