Job Description Summary

WVNCC seeks applicants for Graphic Arts Designer Sr.

This is an on-campus position on the Wheeling Campus with college-wide duties. The position will assist the marketing department with graphic design and marketing to create a visually appealing and effective designs of print and digital materials. This position will collaborate with various departments to understand their design needs and develop creative solutions that align with the college's brand.

Individual will assist the marketing department with graphic design and marketing to create visually appealing and effective designs of print and digital materials. This position will collaborate with various departments to understand their design needs and develop creative solutions that align with the college's brand.

Responsible for graphic design work and producing branded materials that reaches all audiences, including prospective and current students, parents, staff, faculty, and community members. Handles a varied portfolio that may include brochures, posters, postcards, booklets, invitations, newsletters, and signage. Works directly with colleagues across campuses, taking responsibility for projects from conception through completion

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to

Individual should possess strong technical aptitude in the following areas:Layout and typographic skills and ability to tell a story visuallyKnowledge of industry standards for graphic design, including the use of standards for graphic design. Knowledge of current digital graphic design practicesKnowledge of graphic design software, e.g.Adobe Creative Suite, IndesignThorough understanding of offset and digital printing technologiesAbility to follow a style guide and stay on brandExpert knowledge in composition, exposure, and depth of fieldExpert knowledge in the operation and set up of all equipment, including microphones, lights, and cameras as needed for recording sit-down style interviews.
