Freelance Graphic Designer

Reporting to: Design DirectorBrand/Product Focus: Sports Licensing | MenswearLocation (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan - Fashion DistrictGraphic Designer | Sports LicensingResearch:Stay current on trends, new techniques, and resources in graphic and print designIdentify relevant trends for each season and present new Color & Concept ideasCommunicate with factories to stay abreast and develop new techniquesAllover Prints (aka CAD design):Identify brand and trend right prints that will work in upcoming seasonsInterpret allover prints to fit each delivery by resizing, tweaking, and recoloringMake sure all prints sit together in each delivery harmoniously, and that they fit the overarching themeExecute prints and graphics to be ready for factory (color separating, repeating, technique, and color pitch) using Adobe PhotoshopCommunication:Track print development and comment on samples and strike-offs promptly for correct executionPartner with the Legal Department to ensure that designs are not trademarked and can be utilizedQualificationsBachelors- preferably in Print Design/Graphic DesignProficient in Photoshop and Illustrator2+ years of previous work experienceCandidate Requirements:CV/Resume AND Work Samples (Portfolio URL) Required for Initial ConsiderationThe hourly range for this position is $30-50/hourPlease note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.About G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. |G-III excels at bringing excitement and confidence to customers through the fashion we create.
