SCENE DESIGN LECTURER SEARCHUNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE -CLAIRE TREVOR SCHOOL OF THE ARTS, DEPARTMENT OF DRAMAThe Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for Spring Quarter 2022 in the curriculum area of Scene Design.The department seeks applicants to teach an undergraduate level class in Beginning Scenic Design. Must have at least 3 years teaching experience at a college level. An MFA, or commensurate experience, in Drama/Theater Arts is required. At least 3 years' experience as a LORT Regional Theatre scenic designer or commensurate experience. Compensation for the quarter will be approximately $6,200.00 for full Beginning Scenic Design class, and is non-negotiable.Candidates for this position must have strong professional credits in scene design and a strong commitment to teaching, training, and working in a university environment. Candidates must demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile that is compatible with distinguished undergraduate training at a major research university.
