Senior NX Designer, ECLSS

reporting to the

Director, ECLSS , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.This will be a full-time,

location.Responsibilities:Own design and drawings for thermal hardware from conceptual phase through product release and manufactureOwnership of the BOM, mass tracking and hardware releaseDefine and manage interfaces between vehicle subsystems and support design tradesPerform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Engineering Design, Drafting, modeling standards using NX and Teamcenter including mentoringMinimum Qualifications:5+ years of relevant CAD/Design experienceExperience working in aerospace designExperience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawingsDemonstrated development and configuration management experience on technically complex hardware productsKnowledge of mechanical engineering design and manufacturingExperience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41Preferred Skills & Experience:Expertise with Siemens NXExpertise with TeamcenterExperience with tube routingExperience with soft goods such as MLIHigh level of expertise in GD&TSelf-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication and documentation skillsAbility to work well in an integrated team including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managersComfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic directionSalary Range: California $135,000 — $200,000 USD
