Project Coordinator for Cabinet Design/Installation

Job Description

Provide direction and support for the Project management & Ownership team. Monitor and report project progress to all parties concerned. Make a report that contains the progress of the project, problems and solutions. Implement and manage project changes and intervene to achieve project results.

General Requirements:


  • Proficient in English & Spanish
  • 2 Years of experience in projects and development of interior MILLWORK preferred, or degree in project management or interior design.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, and Google Sheets. (Photoshop, CAD, or 20/20 experience is a plus but not required)
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and multi-task.
  • Maintain and analyze shipping spreadsheets.
  • Draft change orders and maintain back-up documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members and provide outstanding customer service to clients.
  • Must be a Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Ability to manage multiple large projects independently.
  • Positive, professional attitude

Responsibilities:


  • Review data, drawings, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with shop and customer to set project schedule.
  • Review shop drawings for client approval.
  • Verify accuracy of detailing and shop drawings to customer specification
  • Provide the office with necessary material lists.
  • Coordinate installations with Project Management & Ownership Team.
  • Visit the job site for quality control check with Project Management team.
  • Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual and investigate discrepancies.
  • 8.5 hour shift - Monday through Friday  8:30AM - 5:00PM (30 minute lunch)

Typical Day:

A typical day usually starts with checking e-mails and a morning review of the previous day’s progress. Identify blockers and discuss the upcoming tasks with the team.

During the day, expect to work with the Project Management and Ownership Team, assisting with task and schedule management and helping them understand what is expected from them in terms of project milestones and deliverables.

Exceptional organizational skills are the backbone of the Project Coordinator's role. This includes the ability to plan project timelines, manage resources, and keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously.
