Media Planning Supervisor

The Media Planning Supervisor manages day-to-day campaign activity and organization. We are looking for someone with expertise in media planning, activation, and team management.

Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of media planning experience, at least 1-2 years hands-on platform activation (social and/or programmatic digital). If you do not have this work experience, please include a cover letter outlining how the experience and skills you possess can be transferred to the role.

Duties and Responsibilities:Media Planning

Manage planning initiatives and collaborate with various teams to execute plans across various channels including digital, TV, audio, social, programmatic, and more.Own tactical plan development, recommendation building, and negotiations across their respective channels.Collaborate and foster relationships with key partners including clients, internal teams, and leadership.Lead strategic planning initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation, and audience development.Analyze data to inform purchase and channel allocation.Oversee day-to-day campaign execution and be responsible for ensuring campaigns deliver on KPIs.Support development of strategic approach and experience design by delivering channel ideas and providing the link to reality of historical performance and in-market opportunities.Responsible for management and development of Associates and Senior Associates.Review and discuss opportunities with industry experts – educate team, evaluate industry trends, needs for research.Facilitate media relationships to advance understanding of existing/emerging markets and industry.

Media Activation

Oversee implementation of paid campaigns across online, offline, and social media channels.Manage asset tracking, delivery, confirmation.Maintain implementation best practices and best-in-class examples for future reference.Be hands-on with Meta and LinkedIn platforms.

Agency, Department, & Professional Development

Assist in overall development of Media department goals & visioning.Look to learn and upskill in areas of industry shift (I.E. Content integration/personalization or AI).Promote and help shape our agency’s values and ethics development.

Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

Be willing to learn and explore AI tools and models such as ChatGPT or Perplexity.Maintain a finger on the pulse of how vendors are using AI in unique media-related ways.Seek out opportunities to explore new AI tech for the purpose of advancing our media strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related major.1-3 years of Financial Category experience preferred.3-5 years of Media Planning Experience across offline and online channels.Social, Programmatic, Mobile, Direct Site, Native, Digital OOH experience all required.1-2 years Media Implementation/Execution Experience.Hands-on Social platform experience preferred.3-5 years Management Experience required.Management of 2-3 people teams preferred.
