Director of Content Strategy

to join our growing team in our downtown Raleigh, N.C. HQs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to mold the ways in which content strategy integrates with all agency departments (social media, influencer marketing, creative, PR, integrated marketing, paid/digital, analytics). Working hand in hand with social media and creative, you will help guide and shape content strategy through research, ideation, content development and brand storytelling, all with keen design sensibility to envision how the content comes to life. Your aim is to establish and execute inspiring and memorable message platforms for the agency’s clients, working with all teams to bring the messaging to market through the right marketing channels that will work hard to deliver on the client’s business goals.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Integrate closely with all departments, but most intimately with the social media/influencer marketing team, creative team and our SVP of Integrated ServicesCraft strategic and compelling message platforms for clients that are rooted in brand strategyHave a knack for/can develop brand positioning frameworks for existing and emerging brands that unfold into message platforms and content pillarsEstablish the roadmap for creating, presenting and implementing the discipline of content strategy for our clients across the agencyCreate, curate and (know the channels to) promote content to build brand awareness that can drive business results for our clientsConduct content audits and gap analysis for existing and new clientsContribute to and (in some cases) drive the creation of new business pitches based upon a core idea or concept that you help developSet the framework/playbook for our clients’ social media content strategy and work closely with the social media team to bring that strategy to fruition through social media content calendarsWork closely with the creative department to generate new ideas/campaign ideas and help bring them to life through content developmentDevelop content for the right marketing channel, knowing which channel to utilize based upon clients’ goals and the content/messageSeek out and gather insights from research and data to inform content strategy and creationDevelop and hold strong relationships with client contactsWork across the agency to encourage and spearhead collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practicesREQUIREMENTS:You have indisputable passion for ideation in the spirit of creating the next best campaignYou are a compelling brand storyteller with keen design sensibility to envision how content will be presented/distributed across all marketing channelsYou understand and can create concise consumer journey maps that make true the content strategyYou know how and through which mediums to conduct research that will inform your content strategy and execution thereof, and can distill the insights from your research into clear and compelling presentations and/or assetsYou can take bits of information about a client’s audience and craft true and interesting audience personasYou understand brand strategy and can contribute to the build out of a brand platformYou become the keeper of a brand’s identity and can represent the brand voice and image through the content, words, images, ideas you createYou are a master communicator in all waysYou have a keen eye for truly unique and ownable creative/campaigns, and are forever seeking to build and activate breakthrough ideas and campaignsYou’re curious and proactive by nature, constantly seeking inspiration to hone your professional approach and skills, whether through industry news & trends, competitor campaigns, or from personal/professional passion outlets – you’re always growingYou have an eye for detail, you know how to multitask, prioritize, and juggle projects effectivelyYou naturally build and nurture relationships internally and with clientsYou demonstrate excellent communication skills and sharp writing skillsPlease include requested salary range in submitted resumeQUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or related fields
