We also recognize that enduring, meaningful relationships with communities are fundamental to maintaining our licence to operate.About the FunctionThe Marketing and Commercial/Trading team is responsible for sales and trading of products (crude oil, natural gas, LNG, NGLs, and condensates), new business origination (e.g., long term contracts) and marketing operations. Marketing staff is located across the globe with primary representation in Perth, Houston, Singapore, and London.About the RoleThis role is primarily responsible for front office activities that include crude oil and natural gas movements across pipelines and vessels in the Atlantic Basin. This individual will be responsible for managing existing relationships and developing new contacts with the US (primarily the Gulf of Mexico), Trinidad & Tobago, and the entire Atlantic Basin market participants to manage and develop natural gas and crude oil contracts to ensure maximum value for the Atlantic Basin production portfolio. This role involves developing and implementing marketing and trading strategies, ensuring compliance with risk policies, and being accountable for the marketing PnL book. This role will also liaise between the upstream/operations team, end-users, midstream service providers, and other key internal stakeholders such as analysts, finance, as well as Marketing teams located in Perth, Singapore, and London to ensure optimal performance and maximize value for new and existing production. This individual will be part of a team that manages all commercial aspects of marketing in the Atlantic Basin and reports to the General Manager, Atlantic Marketing.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeveloping commercial strategies and executing sales/purchase contracts.Execute trades in commodities markets, including futures, options, and derivatives, to achieve strategic objectives.Manage positions and risk exposure while adhering to risk management policies and procedures.Optimizes existing infrastructure by meeting contractual requirements, negotiating improved and/or extended terms.Taking a proactive role in business development, seeking out and evaluating markets to capture new businesses.Ensuring marketing activities are in full compliance with internal risk governance policies and procedures, and is accurately captured in reporting infrastructure (i.e., position reporting, deal entry system, settlements in system etc.)Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and industry contacts to facilitate marketing and trading activities and stay updated on market developments.Support long term business development efforts for new growth strategies.Providing insights to our market analysis team to continuously improve marketing applications and fundamental analysis.Responsible for participating and providing key inputs to internal stakeholders' weekly/monthly meetings.

Skills & ExperiencesBachelor's Degree required in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or relevant degree.(MBA preferred)Must have strong fundamental and working knowledge of North American crude oil and/or natural gas markets.Excellent understanding of commodity markets, trading platforms, and financial instruments.Preferably 10+ years of experience in crude oil and/or natural gas marketing/trading or similar.Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong analytical capabilities (ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative methods to answer market questions).Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team and interact with stakeholders.Possess a deep understanding of risk management.Have strong commercial acumen, an entrepreneurial mind-set, analytical/IT skills, and take accountability for your results and contributions to the team.Possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a multi-cultural team environment.Have fluent English language skills (written and spoken), with additional language skills being desirable.
