Technical Designer - Legwear and Seamless Daywear

The Technical Designer will lead in developing specs and fits across legwear and seamless daywear for all of the brands in our portfolio! They will uphold production ready garments and ensure all deadlines are met accordingly. This position will also interface with cross functional teams such as Design, Product Development, Production, and Quality Assurance.Responsibilities:Work with Design Operations Manager and design teams during development to create spec sheets for proto and fit samplesWork cross-functionally between Design, Product Development, Production, and Quality AssuranceCreate and track new fit and construction specsWork with design to ensure proper execution of spec usageFit protos, fit Samples, PPs and TOPS while taking detailed notesCommunicate with overseas vendors to ensure quality and fit of product when challenges ariseManage spec and block library on server and in PLMAccurately measure and examine Proto, Fit Samples on body, PP, TOP samples from factories and prepare for scheduled fittingsCreate grades for all styles across multiple size ranges and categoriesConduct and lead all in person fitting and instructs all fit corrections to vendor/factory; ensuring all previous corrections and requests are upheld by vendorsCollaborate with associates to organize fit photos and commentsInput measurements and comment callouts in PLMSend accurate fit comments to overseas factoriesIdentify construction and workmanship issues to ensure consistent standards are met within each product categoryParticipate in weekly meeting led by Product Development with overseas through fit and construction related callouts/issuesUtilize knowledge of fit and knitwear machinery for correct / improved fitOrganize and advise fit comments on all wear test sample projects; record and share all wear test feedback results with teamCollaborate and communicate with cross functional teams for entire product lifecycleQualifications:4-5 years of related experienceKnowledge of seamless knit, daywear, hosiery, leggings and/or socks constructionsKnowledge of Seamless constructions and Knitwear MachineryKnowledge of PLM (Centric or similar)Experience in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft ExcelClear understanding of fit and gradingAbility to manage multiple projects while meeting established deadlinesAbility to work cross functionally and collaborativelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with attention to detail and ability to prioritizeAnnual salary range starting at $80,000The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
