SUMMARY:Reporting to the Vice President, GU Marketing, the Executive Director of Zanzalintinib (Zanza) Marketing will lead commercialization and launch planning to prepare the organization for the first approval for Zanza as a new molecular entity and prepare for the potential approval in mCRC.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the cross-functional effort required across Exelixis to prepare for the first approval of Zanza in colorectal cancer, including creation of a complete launch strategy and execution plans with metrics

Partner with key stakeholders to lead all strategic insights activities such as qualitative/quantitative market research, treatment journeys, mCRC landscape assessment, and advisory boards

Develop Zanza value proposition, appoint promotional agency of record, create a comprehensive brand campaign, DSA plan and promotional messaging for an impactful NME launch

Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Sales Operations to coordinate all elements of customer targeting and field force sizing

Partner with appropriate members of the Access team to coordinate activities related to pricing, contracting and reimbursement

Coordinate with CMC to ensure packaging and manufacturing are aligned with branding requirements and supply needs

Establish a strategic framework and lead potential joint commercial collaborations with partner organizations, if required

Partner across the TKI Franchise to ensure appropriate prioritization across the portfolio

Communicate timely launch updates to inform and align Executive leadership across various departments within the organization

Manage launch financial plan and investment decisions

Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern Exelixis conduct

Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:May directly supervise employees

Indirectly supervise employees through a dotted line structure or via other subordinate supervisors

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:Education:Master's degree in related discipline and 16 years of related experience; or

BS/BA degree in related discipline and 18 years of related experience; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:Pharmaceutical marketing and/or strategic consulting experience

Sales, sales management, and managed care experiences are a plus

Oncology experience is required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :Ability to develop sound strategic concepts and clearly articulate these to brand and cross-functional team members

Cross-functional leadership with the ability to build consensus and drive key decisions

High level of learning agility; comprehends all aspects of the marketplace that affect current and future brand performance (e.g. coverage, distribution, sales incentives, regulatory, and finance)

Effective presentation and written communication skills

Understanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processes

Knowledge of reimbursement mechanisms for both injectable and specialty oral medications

Knowledge of managed care environment, including pharmacy and medical benefit design

Strong command of MS Excel and financial modeling ability

Project management skills

The base pay range for this positionis $241,000 - $342,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors. In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
