This is a full-time internship position for our Fall Rotation, from September 9, 2024 through December 20, 2024 in Santa Monica, CA

The Industrial Design Intern will assist the Industrial Design team in participating as a content creating project team member on external client projects and internal initiative projects. The intern will work with different brands and industries within the frame of the internship while gaining exposure to a world class multi-disciplinary creative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Industrial Design team with contextual research for variety of client projectsSupport the Industrial Design team with design proposals for variety of client projectsSupport LA studio in internal initiatives across departmentsSupport the visualization team in creating internal and external presentationsJoin the BMW North America team and enjoy a high-performance Total Rewards package that may include:

The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.20

The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements :

Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or universityPossess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of applicationField of study: Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or other related fieldMust attach a copy of college unofficial transcriptAbility to work full-time (40 hours/week)Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)Strong 2D and 3D visual communication skills (sketching, rendering, modeling etc. Proficient in Adobe suite)Working knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering softwear (Solidworks, Rhino, Blender, Keyshot, etc.)Good verbal and written presentation skills, proficient in MS Suite (Power Point)Preferences:

Experience with AI tools is a plus (Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Runway, etc..)
