Salary : $67,350.40 - $80,808.00 Annually Location : Bernalillo, NM Job Type: Classified Full Time Job Number: 2024-00094 Division: Information Technology Department: Information Technology Opening Date: 08/29/2024 Closing Date: 9/12/2024 11:59 PM Mountain General Purpose Under general direction, manages, plans, designs, coordinates, evaluates, and maintains the network and communications infrastructure and systems for Sandoval County to include, but not limited to, managing the Cisco Unified Call Manager telephone system, Cisco Unity VM system, the County 911 Dispatch Center communications systems and equipment, all voice and data communications, and all telecommunications equipment throughout the County; performs other job related duties as required. Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field and five (5) years of full-time experience in telecommunications administration, which includes two (2) years Call Manager or similar telecommunications server management platform, one (1) year experience with Voice Over IP and SIP solutions; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Licenses or Certifications:

Valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain a valid New Mexico driver's license within 30 days of hire. Within 3 months of hire attest to the understanding of Keri's Law and section 506 of Ray Baum's Act. Within 6 months of hire must acquire CJIS - Criminal Justice Information System certification and must be able to pass CJIS background check.

Essential Job FunctionsAdministers all moves, adds and changes to the County's Call Manager; onboards new users with the proper equipment, i.e. desk phone, headset, and/or accessories related to user setup; establishes new DID's and/or local extensions within the prescribed and allotted block of DID's available to the County; assigns new extensions to the departments as needed and manage the inventory of available resources. Performs daily changes to call hunt groups, call routing, and system voice prompts; deploys and manages various telecom and network devices related to telephony, such as voice gateways, switches, and firewalls, and other devices as it pertains to telecommunications. Maintains an inventory of all telephony devices and recommends upgrades and purchases as needed; serializes, stores and identifies all County telecommunications equipment. Serves as the subject matter expert on VoIP, Voice Gateways, SIP, and other low voltage voice and data lines as they pertain to fax, fire, and security. Manages all upgrades to the phone system; serves as a liaison between the County and associated vendors under contract; acts as the primary contact and oversees projects related to the phone system, network cabling infrastructure and telecom. Manages the deployment of services and telecommunications infrastructure to new facilities and locations throughout the County; establishes new service and manages the installation and implementations of services by the vendor. Collaborates and serves as systems administrator for the County Dispatch Office working with existing staff to maintain E911 emergency communications and radio telecommunications. Serves as backup liaison to the local PSAP office for E911 services. Researches and presents emerging technologies and future telecommunications options to the County; evaluates new phone systems or upgrades to phone systems either On-prem or Cloud and presents findings of fact on the evaluation to management. Participates in the annual budget process; manages applicable vendor contacts; maintains up-to-date pricing on requested quotes, provide justifications, and maintains documentation of all hardware, software, and equipment related to telecommunications contracts; submits requests for annual budget related to maintained contracts.
