The CDS business is going through an exciting time of rapid innovation and growth.

To that end, the business is looking for a dynamic and driven Marketing Business Analyst to support leadership in making timely, data-driven business decisions. You will be responsible for deeply understanding available internal and external data sources, selecting and managing appropriate data vendors, analyzing datasets to draw out critical insights, and making recommendations to the leadership team. You will also have the opportunity to architect the blueprint for running a business grounded in advanced data analytics. Finally, this role offers the opportunity to support high priority initiatives by contributing to program management activities.

Scope of work will include commercial, market, competitive, and operational topics, allowing you to gain exposure to a wide range of business topics and enhance your business acumen. As such, you will partner with cross-functional teams (such as sales, marketing, market development, finance, sales operations, Integrated Business Planning, and IT).

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Develop and implementtation of structured, practical, fact-based approach to market, customer, and business analysis and strategy development.

Establishstrong relationship development/collaboration with product marketing, digital marketing, brand activation, commercial operations and corporate strategy teams.

Develop and recommend campaign target lists based on internal and external data sources.

Utilize strong analytical and quantitative skills to integrate broad corporate/divisional business performance needs into franchise level decision-making and strategic planning Implements marketing strategy processes and sharing knowledge about those processes.

Participate in cross-functional, cross-divisional data integration projects

Track competitive business activities that enable product marketing and marketing development teams to develop informed portfolio strategies and commercial tactics

Encourage a grass roots paradigm shift on marketing within the Medtronic organization and influences organizational thinking on Marketing Excellence and digital acceleration

Demonstrate strong business instincts, problem-solving skills, and organizational capabilities to communicate and influenceeffectively.

Ownerofanalyticalcommercial,market,andcompetitiveinsights,shapingthepathforthe business to become solidlydata-driven.

Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external data sources to provide insight todecision-makers.

Produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reportingtools.

Identify trends and patterns in datasets to locate actionableinsights.

Provide recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on internal business insights, competitor activity, industry dynamics and marketknowledge.

Provide consultation to cross-functional teams to enhance decision-making and business reporting /dashboards.

Create templates and specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available dataelements.

Contribute to program management of high priority strategicinitiatives.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business analytics, commercial strategy, financial analysis, analytical marketing, and/or data mining, or Advanced degree with 5 years relevant experience in business analytics, financial analysis, analytical marketing, and/or datamining

Solid data analytics and data miningskills

Experience in Tableau, Sales Force and/or PowerBI

Nice to Have

Experience with healthcare industry claims data.

Advanced degree in the field of science, engineering, math orstatistics

Program and project managementexperience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$116,000.00 - $174,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
