The Marketing Technology Associate works with the Sales and Marketing Team to support moving the marketing vision into implementation. This position supports, coordinates, and assists in facilitating the intersection of the user experience and marketing technology systems, platforms, and key initiatives. This individual collaborates to assist in determining the business needs, which help define the necessary operational framework, business requirements, and ongoing support considerations for technical solutions and improvements to support Sales and Marketing endeavors.

The Marketing Technology Associate supports and executes the expansion, enhancement, and maintenance of EquiTrust's digital experience and electronic services platforms (E-platforms). The Marketing Technology Associate also drives integration and the interaction of internal and external technological systems including, but not limited to, workflow, E-platforms, administration, and contact management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates in the evaluation, development, and documentation of business requirements that drive the development of marketing technology tools, systems, and platforms.Prepares, plans, documents, and performs user acceptance testing to support system enhancements and upgrades to E-platform, websites, workflow, and contact management systems.Coordinates and supports marketing efforts with third-party contractors, consultants, vendors, distributors, and internal staff to complete projects according to plan.Troubleshoots and analyzes business, processing, and system issues and recommends technology and process solutions.Assists in the formulation of test objectives, project reporting, assisting in target date planning, and coordinating testing with other Business Analyst staff.Supports and improves the digital experience of E-platform distribution through the integration of suitability, regulatory, administrative, and compliance requirements within the context of E-platform forms and processes.Identifies marketing technology platform and systems issues and helps provide problem resolutions and improvements.Monitors and communicates project and work status to Marketing Technology Manager and other key stakeholders.Creates release summaries to inform the business of changes and enhancements that have been successfully implemented.Supports conceptualization of and articulates moderately complex ideas to management and stakeholders through various means (i.e., written descriptions, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, spreadsheets, sitemaps, workflows, and user flows).Uses creative problem-solving skills and technical expertise to ensure that the implemented solutions are operational and secure throughout end-user engagement.Is aware of and able to identify, understand, and articulate the high-level business processes and technical impacts of an initiative during the inception and discovery phases.Assists in providing marketing technology enhancement suggestions to Marketing management.Oversees all administration and key support for Agent and Corporate website maintenance and enhancement; is the Product Owner in development scrums and provides user acceptance testing and validation.Partners with the applicable website owners to ensure the coordination and consistency of messaging on the Agent, Client, and corporate web pages.Assists the AVP of Marketing and AVP of Sales with the maintenance of the NAIC agent training platform.Assists in partnering with 3rd party vendors to confirm data is correct.Supports the EquiTrust Sales and Marketing teams and other departments on an as-needed basis.Willingly accepts additional responsibilities as requested in order to accomplish department and Company objectives.Actively participates and contributes to the goals and objectives of the Company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to understand basic programming concepts.Knowledge and understanding of insurance products and complexities.Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including a high degree of professionalism.Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems as well as recognize situations that fall outside the parameters of normal or routine activity.Strong attention to detail.Proficiency with research tools and techniques.Ability to multi-task and manage time to meet varying deadlines and execute under pressure.Responsible, reliable, dedicated, and accountable.Organized and self-directed.Intuitive, analytical problem solver.Ability to work effectively with all departments and affiliates to ensure integration of strategic goals and principles.Training or Work Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of 4 years of related work experience required.Associate degree: A minimum of 2 years of related work experience required.Bachelor's Degree: A minimum of 1 year of related work experience required.Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance or financial services required.Minimum 1 year experience with life insurance and annuity business processes and knowledge of insurance systems required.Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.Working Conditions:

On-Site Location: West Des Moines, Iowa.Business Travel: Infrequent travel (less than 5% of the time).
