The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for the management, development, control, and oversight of a team of Marketing professionals. This position works closely with members of the Sales and Marketing team and performs both a leadership and management function.The Marketing Technology Manager is expected to carry out their duties and responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with EquiTrust's Company Values of Integrity, Leadership, Accountability, Teamwork, and Passion.

The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for the oversight, maintenance, and growth of EquiTrust's digital experience and electronic services (E-platforms) platform. The Manager serves as the liaison for Marketing, Information Technology, Compliance, Communications, and customers including business partners and policyholders. This leader leads and manages the Marketing Technology team to translate marketing visions into technology implementation. The Marketing Technology Manager delivers on technological marketing goals by combining knowledge of EquiTrust's products and marketplace trends with technology expertise. The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for the management of diverse business requirements, systems, and marketing strategies as well as facilitating the resolution of Marketing system issues.The Manager facilitates integration and interaction of internal and external technological systems including, but not limited to, workflow, E-platforms, administration, and contact management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages employees, including but not limited to the following activities: makes recommendations for hiring, termination, promotions, and transfers, assessing and completing performance appraisals, responsibility allocations, and task completion, problem identification and resolution, and other day-to-day people management and leadership responsibilities. Oversees the Marketing Technology team in the planning, development, deployment, and maintenance of marketing technology platforms and projects.Serves as the primary contact for the business regarding the marketing technology platform and system issues, problem resolution, enhancements, and requirements.Plans, documents, and performs user acceptance testing for enhancements and upgrades to Eplatform, workflow, and contact management systems.Manages and is the main point of contact for E-platform distributor(s) and clients to deliver a cohesive user experience across the entire digital sales and post-sales lifecycle.Provides marketing technology enhancement suggestions and prioritizes development on behalf of EquiTrustReviews all incoming communications from marketing technology distributors and vendors, consults with applicable business partners regarding communications, and responds on behalf of EquiTrustCoordinates communication with both internal and external partners regarding marketing technology enhancements, problem resolution, and changes.Serves as the liaison between Marketing, New Business, Inforce, Compliance, IT, and E-platform distributor(s), contact management, and other vendors to facilitate changes and enhancementsGrows the digital experience of E-platform distribution through the integration of suitability, regulatory, administrative, and compliance requirements within the context of E-platform forms and processes.Coordinates communication with vendors, Marketing, and E-platform distributors to manage external customer E-platform distributor access and platform updates.Manages and facilitates data APIs for external business partners and vendors.Maintains knowledge of business process changes, regulatory updates, and new products to identify new opportunities for efficiencies, new forms required, or modifications needed for marketing technology systems and platforms.Communicates project and work status to designated individuals.Creates release summaries to inform the business of changes and enhancements implemented.Expands personal and team technical and business skills to support system applications.Supports the Sales and Marketing teams and other departments on an as-needed basis.Willingly accepts additional responsibilities as requested in order to accomplish department and Company objectives.Actively participates and contributes to the goals and objectives of the Company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to understand basic programming concepts.Knowledge and understanding of insurance products and complexities.Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including a high degree of professionalism.Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems as well as recognize situations that fall outside the parameters of normal or routine activity.Proficiency with research tools and techniques.Ability to multi-task and manage time in order to meet varying deadlines and execute under pressure.Responsible, reliable, dedicated, and accountable.Organized and self-directed.Intuitive, analytical problem solver.Ability to work effectively with all departments and affiliates to ensure integration of strategic goals and principles.Training or Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years of business analyst experience required.Minimum 1 year experience in a manager or supervisor role required.Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance or financial services required.Experience with life insurance and annuity business processes and knowledge of insurance systems required.Education:

Bachelor's Degree required.Working Conditions:

On-Site Location:West Des Moines, Iowa.Business Travel:Infrequent travel (less than 5% of the time).
