Hawthorne Gardening Company is seeking a talented Web Developer with WordPress experience, strong front-end design/user experience skills and a deep understanding of SEO & web traffic analytics. As a member of our web development team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining multiple websites for our industry leading brands. Day-to-day work will involve collaboration with large cross-functional groups to ensure each site is visually appealing, highly functional and an accurate representation of each brand's identity.
Responsibilities:
Develop and customize WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and custom code.Design and implement front-end user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO.Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketers to ensure website functionality aligns with business goals.Monitor and analyze site performance metrics, SEO rankings, and user behavior using tools such as Google Analytics.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in web development, accessibility and SEO.Requirements:
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites.Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.Expertise in WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and integration.Solid understanding of SEO best practices and experience optimizing websites for search engines.Experience with web analytics tools such as Google or Adobe Analytics to track site metrics and user behavior.Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with fellow developers.The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $96,800.00 - $113,900.00. Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
