POSITION SUMMARYThis position translates marketing concepts and executes brand-right visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires in print and digital media.This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the Creative Services team to develop a wide range of materials that communicate the brand message, applying their expertise in Adobe CC, design principles, and creative problem-solving skills.This is a hybrid role based out of the Portland, OR office. Please include your portfolio with the application.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOBProvide design solutions for B2B and DTC marketing materials, including email, social ads, postcards, signs, banners, brochures, events, presentations, etc.Design website shopping experiences that improve user interaction and drives site enhancements.Prepare high-quality production-ready designs and filesCollaborate with Creative Services team to brainstorm new concepts and improve designs.Maintain and organize digital assets and files.Define and communicate design ideas, and solutions with internal teams; Identify areas of opportunity in processes and procedures.Partner with Photo Art Director on photo shoots to concept assets for digital channels, as well as to ensure asset needs are met.Build cross-functional relationships with design leads, merchant partners and digital marketing team.Communicate and coordinate with various vendors.CORE EXPECTATIONSA strong portfolio, showcasing experience in various digital and printTechnical understanding of the components of graphic design, with a strong sense of typography.Strong visual design skills with an eye for color and compositionUnderstanding of key digital metrics for email, social media, and ecommerce, as well as a/b testing.BEHAVIORAL (The method in which the incumbent delivers results)Detail-oriented; must be able to deliver production-ready files with a focus on qualityTime-management Skills; must be able to prioritize and self-start tasks in a deadline-driven environmentCollaborative and team-minded; must be able to execute under the direction of other designers to build consistent, high-quality workStrong communication skillsCritical thinking; must approach their tasks from a problem-solving mentalityQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree and 3+ years of experienceFluency in design and production for print and digitalFamiliarity with ecom and email best practicesExperience working with Third Parties for site contentSYSTEM QUALIFICATIONSHigh proficiency using design and web technology, primarily Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere and After Effects. Interest in learning or knowledge in Page Designer, Figma and Sketch a plusProficiency with Google Slides & Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)Experience working with project management software (Trello, Jira/Confluence) is valued.Illustration, Motion Design, and/or Video editing, Experience with WordPress, and light HTML knowledge are all valued skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTThe ability to use a computer workstation for extended periods of time, sitting, standing, typing, and viewing information on a monitor.Manual Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination for tasks such as drawing, sketching, and manipulating design software.Ability to provide a detailed visual review of creative content, including graphics, photography, and copy.
