As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing to join our team and drive the next phase of our growth.Position OverviewThe Director of Marketing will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's marketing strategy, with a focus on innovation, brand positioning, and market expansion. This role requires a strategic thinker who can not only envision but also implement marketing initiatives that disrupt the status quo and deliver measurable business results. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the transportation industry and a proven ability to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, competitive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that align with corporate goals and drive substantial business growth. Provide strategic direction and oversight for all marketing activities.

Brand Innovation: Lead the transformation of the company's brand identity, ensuring it stands out in the marketplace through creative, disruptive, and forward-thinking marketing initiatives that resonate with both new and existing customers.

Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, while expanding the company’s presence in existing markets through innovative, data-driven strategies. Leverage market insights to stay ahead of industry trends and competitors.

Public Relations: Oversee all public relations efforts, positioning the company as a thought leader and innovator in the industry. Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team. Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, accountability, and excellence. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.

Budget & ROI Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Track and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Event Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of the company’s participation in regional and national trade shows, conferences, and other key marketing events. Ensure these events are impactful, aligned with strategic goals, and effectively showcase the company’s offerings.

Agency Collaboration: Manage relationships with external advertising and marketing agencies. Drive creative campaigns that effectively communicate the company’s value proposition and achieve desired results.

Digital Strategy: Oversee the company’s digital marketing efforts, including website management, social media strategy, SEO/SEM, and online advertising. Continuously optimize digital channels to enhance engagement, drive traffic, and increase conversions.

Market Research: Lead comprehensive market research initiatives to gather insights into customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends. Use this data to inform strategic decisions and drive marketing innovation.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary marketing liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure consistent, clear, and compelling communication of the company’s mission, vision, and value proposition across all channels.

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Experience: 7-10 years of experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within the transportation, automotive, trucking, or heavy equipment industries. Demonstrated success in driving brand innovation, market expansion, and achieving measurable ROI.

Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of market dynamics, trends, and economic factors within the transportation industry. Experience in related sectors will be considered.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse marketing team. Strong focus on fostering creativity, collaboration, and accountability.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools (such as Oracle or Salesforce), ERP systems (such as Movex), and digital marketing platforms. Familiarity with data analytics and marketing automation tools is highly desirable.

Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to regional and corporate locations. Travel is estimated to be 20-30% of the role.
