These are branded as Centeron and we have been selling them since about 2007. The systems are part of a state-of-the-art IIoT solution set for managing tank levels in applications such as fuel and lubrication products distribution, propane tank service, and chemicals management. These systems interact with our on-site data center and web application platform (WebView).You will be working with a team of engineers to develop and support the monitoring product line. You will also interact with a Web Data Center development team to integrate the monitoring products into our overall solution offerings.In addition to communication and documentation skills, the technical skills required for this position include:32-Bit embedded programming.C languages.RTOS.Security concepts (encryption, authentication, non-repudiation).Battery operated devices (power management).Firmware Designer Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience with (not all mandatory, but preferred):Embedded software development using C or C++ on STM32 and PIC18 processorsEmbedded software development tools such as ST Cube, IAR, Keil, MPLAB and XC compilers, or similar development environmentsRTOS and multithreadingIP networking, IoT, M2M, or similar concepts as well as cellular SMSEmbedded cellular modem communication, particularly LTE CAT-M1 and NBIoTSerial communications (UART, SPI, I2C)Battery operated / Low power systemsUnderstanding hardware design schematics as it related to firmware developmentAdditional experience that may be useful:Industrial sensor measurements: voltage, current, magnetic, capacitance, time, time of flightRadio networks (cellular, especially LTE, 802.15.x, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy,)Coding standards and best practicesMicrosoft Visual Studio .NET (C#), Python, or similar application development toolsThe detailed development tasks will involve writing, testing, and documenting software/firmware for IIoT systems with the following features:Tank level measurement (various sensor types)Battery operationFOTA (Firmware Over the Air update) supportEncryption/Security featuresEvent loggingAdditional Details:Hybrid work schedule, some flexibility once trained up on the role.With embedded firmware you often need access to expensive test instruments/lab facilities which make on-site work necessary at times. Also, I hold weekly on-site staff meetings (Monday 9:00 to 10:15).
