Date Available:08/22/2024St. James Middle/High School is seeking to hire an innovative and student-centered Instrumental Music (Band) educator. This full time position serves the students in our Middle/Senior High School (Grades 6-12).
Three ensembles are included in daily classroom instruction: Concert Band (9th-12th), 7th/8th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band. Instrument testing and selection is completed in the Spring of the students' 5th Grade year and students begin instruction in the Fall of their 6th Grade year. Performances include three evening concerts, MSHSL Large Group and Solo/Ensemble Contests and Pep Band performances. Two levels of Jazz Band each rehearse two mornings a week. Marching Band opportunities are available, usually marching in the Railroad Days Parade (in St. James).
