JOB SUMMARY

This position supports Saint Mary’s student, faculty, and staff academics by managing library services, primarily circulation, reserves, and library stack management at the Winona Library. The Library Circulation Services Manager also supervises a team of student assistants and in conjunction with Library Evening Associates ensures the Winona Library is open and available for student, faculty, and staff use during the academic year and over the summer. This position is full time, 40 hours per week and works Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm.
Salary Range: $16/hr. - $20/hr.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Opens the library and prepares the circulation desk for service every weekday.
- Provides user-centered and efficient circulation services and basic reference services, making referrals as needed to the librarians or other staff.
- Oversees library billing for both campuses, answers questions that may arise regarding bills and notices, and resolves lost and overdue issues.
- Assists library users with technologies.
- Leads library stack maintenance, which includes regular shifting and inventory projects.
- Accepts, monitors, and maintains course reserves collection.
- Supervises library student workers, in collaboration with Library Services Evening Associates.
- Collects statistics in areas of responsibility.
- Recommends, develops and enforces access circulation policies, workflows, and procedures.
- Backs up Library Services Evening Associates by covering evening and/or weekend hours as needed.
- Performs other projects and duties, as assigned.

- Supports, respects, and advances the mission of Saint Mary’s University as a Lasallian Catholic university.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Associate’s degree is required.
- May consider other acceptable equivalent combinations of training and experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience assisting library users in an academic library.
