Position Overview
WPXI TV Pittsburgh is looking for a News Tech Coordinator to manage media, address help requests, and maintain the gear used to present and preserve media.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Consistently demonstrate a customer service approach to technical supportDemonstrate a desire to work as a front-line troubleshooter for field crewsCommunicate technology updates and workflow changes to relevant employeesAssist with technical onboarding of new employeesConstruct how-to guides on media workflows and best practicesProvide ongoing documentation of news technology hardware and softwarePerform scheduled maintenance on photographer's gearIdentify opportunities to improve newsroom workflowsResearch new technology for capital projectsAssist with delivering and retrieving vehicles for maintenanceFollow up on reported discrepancies and make appropriate referralsWork occasional weekends and holidays as neededMinimum Qualifications
Broadcast newsroom experience preferred, but not required.Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.Candidate must be able to lift and carry 50lbs as needed.
