Job Title: Graphic Designer Intern
Department: Print/Promotional
Status: Full Time / Non - Exempt
Reports To: Printing & Promotional Manager
The Graphic Designer level 1 is an action-oriented individual with the ability to work well in group, individually and in one-on-one settings. They will be responsible for producing both internal and external brand messaging on a variety of platforms. They have basic knowledge of the Adobe Create Suite programs and can design both print and digital materials for Account Executives with guidance. They can organize and prioritize workplace but are flexible and patient when working with a variety of people. They will successfully perform pertinent tasks/projects while embodying Innovative’s core values, brand promise and the Incomparable Service Expertise competencies.
Essential Functions:
Will work Basic knowledge and use of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign)Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and the ability to create presentations with direction from managerPerforming graphic design work for web, eCommerce, print and other surface applications supporting Innovative marketing and promotional activitiesWorking ability to design print and digital materials for Account Executives and internal teams with direction of managerWork w/Production embroidery team on digitizing and set up of logos/garmentsWeb Development / Client E Store set up and maintenance back upAssist with site build and maintenance for new and on-going stores and programs.May assist with customer order administration as needed in our Ordering system.Ability to produce internal brand messaging and company communications such as newswire, the digital displays and company culture signageBasic knowledge and the ability to work in Wordpress and Act-On SystemsAbility to organize and prioritize workloadBasic knowledge of Innovative categoriesSet and achieve one professional development goal per check-inMay be asked to assist in other areas to support the team as needed.Minimum Qualifications:
Related work experience or schooling0 to 3 years graphic design experience.Working with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Works well under pressure and achieves deadlines.Must be outgoing and have good customer service skillsMaintains positive attitude and has great communication with the team.Ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to work with detailed information accurately.Ability to communicate both written and orally.
