travel team. The Incentive Event Planner will work in the Incentive Trips & Travel department in

Irvine, CA

This person will help plan large-scale, multi-day, incentive and reward trips, both domestically and internationally, as well as provide on-site support at the event. This position reports to the Incentive Event Supervisor.

*This position is full time, in-office only

and reward trip planning experience preferredPlan and operate international incentive tripsPlan domestic meetings/incentive eventsPlan award travel trips on both a

national and international

level for managerial and senior level employees of In-N-Out BurgerInternational trip planning

experience is highly preferredPlan multi-day eventsExperience in planning corporate employee incentive events; will plan employee recognition eventsResearch national and international destinations and means of travel, to include site selection, prices, passport and international travel requirements, tourism and customsAbility to travel internationally, for 1-2 weeks at a timeAbility to be highly creative and plan "once in a lifetime" tripsAbility to recommend and select onsite activities and excursions for attendeesKnowledgeable with booking travel and logistical planningSupply travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material, such as guides, maps, event programs, etc.Partner with creative team on program branding and collateralDevelop and monitor travel budgets to ensure expenses are kept within established boundaries. Review financial information for accuracy, and assist in the preparation of financial reports for the team and departmentAttend incentive trips and provide on-site support and feedback to the teamDevelop event budgets, timelines, surveys, and all quarterly metrics as they relate to the department incentive programProvide exceptional customer service, but also derive the best value in terms of savings and serviceAssist the Events department with other company sponsored events

Work Schedule + Benefits

• Full-time, Exempt

• Salary Range: $63,500-75,000 (Event Planner I)Salary Range: $73,600-$88,500 (Event Planner II)**Dependent on level of incentive event planning experienceThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

• Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

• Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends

Travel requirements

• Both domestic and international travel required

• Travel time: It is anticipated that 30% of the work time will be spent in the field

• Requires overnight and weekend travel, out of state, and out of country travel

• Travel time: Will go on extended trips that last 1-2 weeks at a time (some international trips may last up to 16 days)

QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Event management, hospitality, or related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of incentive event planning experienceMinimum 3-5 years of multi-day event planning experienceMulti-day meetings, multi-day event planning or tradeshows experienceAbility to build complex, multi-day programsExperience with In-house corporate event planning experience preferredA minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience in all facets of incentive/award travel planningExperience planning national and international trips for large groups of employees, ranging from 50-2,000 employeesInternational trip planning experience highly preferredProfessional certifications a plus, such as Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)Strong experience with online registration systemsProven history of providing outstanding customer service while proactively troubleshooting/problem solvingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to negotiate, budget, plan and successfully manage a variety of events of 600 people or moreStrong contract negotiation skillsExceptional on-site event operation skillsProven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while remaining organized, efficient and flexibleHighly motivated self-starterExcellent written and verbal communication skills; communication with all levels of managementAbility to work autonomously/independently yet be an integral part of an overall team environmentKnowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word and Excel; Online registration systems experience a plus
