Summary:Arkansas State University Mid-South is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to create, implement, and direct a strategic marketing plan to support and advance ASU Mid-South to both internal and external audiences. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and working in close collaboration with Academic and Student Affairs Divisions, this varied and exciting position serves as a member of the institution's senior management team.Responsibilities include:Supporting the college's enrollment management plan and strategic initiatives by developing and implementing a cohesive plan for messaging, branding, advertising, and marketing of ASU Mid-South and its individual program and service areas, with special emphasis on recruitment, retention, and community awareness.Coordinating the design and implementation of comprehensive and measurable marketing strategies in support of the college's mission and strategic objectives, to include: written communications (press releases, annual reports, email blasts, etc.); electronic media communications (web, app, and social media); visual communications (photography, videos, and graphic design), and storytelling (alumni, student, and faculty profiles; media interviews; community presentations; etc.).Working with the Student Affairs Division to create, promote, and conduct initiatives in support of student enrollment, retention, and success, including on- and off-campus recruiting events, registration events, student activities, and other student-related programs and services.Working with the Learning & Instruction Division, as well as with other individual programs (Literacy/ESL, Adult Ed/GED, Academic/Transfer, Workforce Training, Business and Community Education, ASBTDC), to design and deploy program-specific marketing strategies and materials that inform internal and external audiences of their opportunities and benefits.Providing marketing, communication, and staffing support for college fund-raising and other advancement-related activities, and by engaging in professional development in support of higher education marketing and advancement.Performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Master's degree in Marketing and Communications or a related field (Bachelor's degree required), from a regionally-accredited college or university.A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, advertising, branding, and communications required. Prior marketing experience in higher education is strongly preferred; prior community college experience a plus.Candidate must have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with a diverse audience across multiple platforms.Highly developed skills in the following areas:Organization - ability to manage staff, prioritize requests, keep projects moving forward, and meet deadlines.Consultation - aptitude for listening to the goals and visions of a person/ department and providing on-brand solutions to meet their needs.Collaboration - willingness to consider new ideas and actively participate in designated committees, as well as the ability to lead and work within a team.The ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to include occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed, is a must.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suites, and with web and marketing automation software as well as familiarity with evolving communications technologies, and experience in implementing and integrating new media.Must be committed to the open door philosophy and mission of the community college.Salary:
